The River Cruiser

The River Cruiser is specially designed for charters with guests on Canal du Midi and is also suitable for sea trips. A unique concept and a unique and very exclusive vessel.

The assignment and construction

The assignment to naval architect Olivier van Meer by the client was to design a vessel for very exclusive charter purposes on Canal du Midi, where the vessel must also be able to pass the Capestang bridge. On top of that, the client’s wish was to be able to sail on the open sea as well. A challeging assignment which resulted in the 24-metre River Cruiser.

Just as challeging as the design is its execution, which was awarded to SRF Shipbuilding, where we have been busy for several months with the construction of the steel hull, the contours of which are now widely visible. Meanwhile, preperations for the construction of the interior and technical installation have already started, which will start in April 2025. The delivery of this unique vessel is scheduled for mid-2026.
