Residential boats

A specilisation of SRF Shipbuilding is the conversion of old (cargo)ships into residential boats. We are currently busy with various residential boat projects and have always a large stock of vessels suitable for conversion into residential boats.

From inception to end result

It all starts with an existing old ship which is completely stripped, repaired where necessary and adapted to the design. After the steel work, the ship is hydro-jet or sandblasted and then coated.
Together with the customer and the designer, the layout of the interior and the technical installation are worked out, after which the further construction of the ship can begin.

The execution of the ship can vary from ‘technically’ ready, with the owner taking care of the last part himself, to fully ‘turnkey’ possible. Nevertheless, all our vessels are built entirely according to customer specifications and contemporary standards, with systems such as heat pumps and solar panels being more the rule than the exception.
